ETIWANDA HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING EAGLE REGIMENT

The Etiwanda High School (founded in 1983) Instrumental Music Department has a long history of success. The Department includes one full time instrumental music teacher, and features a music curriculum which includes a 210 piece Marching Band, two Jazz Ensembles, two Jazz Combos, Chamber Groups, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Winter Drumline, Piano Lab and a Winter Guard program.

The Etiwanda High School Marching Eagle Regiment, a member of the Western Band Association, has been a finalist and semi-finalist at Bands of America National Marching Band Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition to being distinguished as the "Bands of America Western Regional Champion," the regiment has also performed at the Phoenix, Arizona Fiesta Bowl Parade and National Band Championship, as well as at the 107th Annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. The band has performed in London, England for their 25th Anniversary New Year’s Day Parade in 2010 and the Marching Eagle Regiment is currently the 2012 SBSOA Gold Medalist.

The Wind Ensemble has entertained President Reagan and President Clinton and has participated in the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival in Chicago, Illinois. All of the concert groups consistently receive Superior ratings at Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association festivals.

The Jazz Ensembles have been featured at numerous events including the Reno International Jazz Festival (Reno, NV), the Valencia Jazz Festival (Valencia, CA Spring 2002), and the Montreaux Jazz Festival (Montreaux, Switzerland 2004 & 2007). With their unique style and diverse repertoire, the Jazz Ensembles have delighted audiences throughout southern California and across Europe.

The Winter Guard, a member of Winter Guard International, has performed at the World Championship Tall Flag Competition in Tokyo, Japan. The Winter Guard is the 2012 WGASC Scholastic A Champion and the Winter Drumline is the 2012 SCPA Scholastic A Champions with a Silver Medal performance in 2013.
