this is enn Eagle News Network you should be in journalism because that's where you'll make the best memories I definitely think that Johnny is a fantastic idea because this cost is super fast pace and the freedom that you get till I cover any of the stories that you're passionate about is absolutely awesome this class is so unique and no day looks the same which I think is also I would say take the opportunity while you can and join journalism for sure I should start with some peace allows me to listen absorbing Crow dream team work to avoid being stuck to my own devices on a variety of issues and to use my use for what I believe in and what I stand for hi I miss is Judson that's me on the back lawn of the White House with one of my students my students have had many great Journeys and destinations by being part of our journalism program and especially because we are part of the PBS NewsHour student reporting Labs Mentor program and because of that we've you travel to the Channel Islands and report on every sweep recorded locally I'm in Riverside on the March for our lives we've gone to San Diego and recorded about the 3D printing of kidneys with Cena rocket launch for SpaceX we had so many opportunities including those and our journalism program is definitely more than just making Stars it's about learning along the way we have a Twitter app and we run our Morning News show we also Atlanta's I've been to before have our we are reporting lab partnership with PBS NewsHour and many of our stories and our students have been seen nationally which is really very exciting for us and for our school and we also have a partnership with PBS SoCal and at the end of the year we bring all the previous mentors and local mentors and teachers and administrators together and our students have a Capstone program the class goals for journalism are mostly to develop your student to make them ready for the world to make them ready for college or to be ready for it. we I really pride myself in helping the students to gain teamwork leadership creativity and many more skills that will give them real world experience along with of course the journalism bells of Reading Writing interviewing less than ink reporting videography photography and all those great things that come along with our journalism program and they're great human beings and they have a lot of fun if you're interested and have questions on that's my email and you can email me and asked about her program or you can call the school and that's my extension if the voicemail goes right to my email so I will get it even though I am teaching at school right now I'm teaching from home do you want to watch him what we've done you can go to student reporting Labs. Org or morning show website Bentley enn Morning Show 2020 and hopefully you'll be interested in jail to see what shows are students have been producing lately, as you can see from the photos below and we are completely virtual right now but the students are doing a wonderful job and we've been having a great time the benefits of being part of the journalism program are we have a lot of Campus recognition our school has a lot of pride in our program we used to be just known as the band the great dance school or the great basketball school but if I go out into the market people see my enn shirt or my PBS shirt and they go oh yeah I don't want to that's that's cool that gets on PBS NewsHour so we're very proud of that we also give our students opportunities to build a resume for jobs and tourism internships and towards College they have opportunities to attend Academy and conventions and and Minnie Lee if experiences yes colleges will look at their talism on their application and students can earn a pass on the computer competency when they take journalist Empire so we hope that your stay and will be interested in applying for a journalism program we also do have a morning bulletin broadcast show and if they apply through this application they'll be considered for either show for our monthly a journalism show that's part of the PBS NewsHour reporting laws or our morning announcements show as well either way we make shows of both programs make shows for the school and they have a lot of fun so again I hope that your do you know be interested in applying and contact the school if you need more information before you join journalism it's an amazing class I have underneath your and get some very amount of different people with different stories and backgrounds when you're interviewing them what your different stories everybody can make their own stories which I personally love is if you have an idea definitely able to share it and pray the story you also are the voice of the students at Etiwanda and they depend on us to get their thoughts and everything out we can also use more students like you guys to come in with a different kind of mine that us older students and everybody else to come join us so come join and let me meet you finally
